Strengthen the mother-child unit to strengthen the community.
1 Goal Foundation breaks intergenerational cycles of poverty by equipping children and women with foundational literacy, accessible healthcare, and sustainable livelihood tools. We believe strengthening the mother-child unit is the single most effective leverage point for resilient community development.
Every child reads, learns, and grows in good health.
Every woman possesses the agency and resources to determine her family’s future.
Human development cannot occur in silos.
Learning
Foundational literacy and numeracy create the base from which children can participate fully in school and society.
Health
Nutrition, preventive care, maternal wellness, and WASH help create the physical conditions required for learning and growth.
Agency
Women’s financial autonomy, skills, and rights awareness strengthen household resilience and long-term opportunity.
The Single-Point Impact approach.
Our model brings connected interventions into home, school, and local community spaces rather than treating education, health, livelihoods, and protection as isolated concerns.
Operationally, the model combines baseline household assessment, community hubs, locally recruited Goal Champions, and ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
